VIRTUAL REALITY APPLIED TO DRAMATIC ARTS: PERCRO LABORATORY STAFF MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE MEETING OF EUROPEAN THEATRE ACADEMIES IN FLORENCE

PERCRO Lab. members of Sant’Anna School, Pisa, participate in the second edition of META - Meeting of European Theatre Academies – which will be held until July 7 at Teatro della Pergola and Teatro Niccolini in Florence. The META event include seminars, conferences, workshops and performances; it will focus on performing arts education and training in European academies and is dedicated to theatre students, actors, teachers, theatre enthusiasts, and experts who want to stay up to date.

On July 7, Professor Massimo Bergamasco, director of Sant’Anna School TeCIP Institute for Communication, Information and Perception Technologies, will give a seminar on the results of recent researches on perception robotics and robots in performing arts. The workshop on immersive virtual reality environments applied to performing arts education and training will address the “Opportunities of Virtual Environments Technologies to Drama and Acting”, and the demo “Hands-on demonstrations of Virtual Environments Technologies” will conclude the workshop programme.

Best European theatre academies, the RADA- Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts - Berlin and the Conservatorie Royal de Bruxelles - “Department du Theatre et des art de la parole” participate in the meeting.
